It is important to realize that all lives matter: young, old, rich, poor, brown, black and white all matter. Racism= when someone shows or feels prejudice against people of other races or believes that a particular race is superior to another. If one race is protected more than another, than it is implied that race is more superior than all others. We feel that it is a good movement to protect the lives of a particular race when there is real injustice. We support activists such as Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglass, and Harriet Tubman in their efforts to right injustices of their time. Our goal is to point out the inconsistencies and nefarious meanings in the Black Lives Matter mission statement that may concern people who are wanting to support such a movement.
Police do not disproportionately kill blacks as implied by Black Lives Matter mission statement and goals
A simple google search will show that police killings happen twice as much on whites as it does on blacks every year for the last 4 years. (20% of all police killings were on black people in 2019 and 40% of all police killings were on white people.) This is not to say that it is now justified because the numbers are relatively low. What the reader can take from this is that police do not kill black people more than they kill white people. A similar google search shows that blacks are 90% more likely to kill another black person, and whites are 82% more likely to kill another white person. Statistics show that there are 5 times more black on black killings than white on black. It has been the case for at least the last 4 years that blacks kill their own race 5 times more often then do whites. This hardly warrants the Black Lives Matter description of “rampant and deliberate violence” of white on black, or police on black killings.
Inconsistencies in Black Lives Matter goals:
Black Lives matter states 17 goals in its mission statement. We will reference them by number for ease of communication.
Goal #3 states that BLM acknowledges, respects, and celebrates differences and commonalities. We would like to see how they respect and celebrate Indians, Asians, whites, and any other race besides their own. If they cannot produce any examples of how they celebrate these differences, they should remove it from their mission statement so as not to mislead innocent onlookers.
Goal #4 states that BLM works vigorously for freedom and justice for black people. Freedom and justice was guaranteed in the 14th and 15th amendment. Justice is served after a full presentation of facts in the state and federal courts systems. We are curious to see what more BLM is planning to do to ensure freedom and justice. Does this mean BLM will try to win more “critical legislation to benefit Black lives” over all other lives as stated in paragraph 3 of their “What We Believe” page? That would be racist.
BLM Goal #17 states that BLM embodies and practices peace in their engagements, but Newsome of the NY chapter stated in response to the riots and looters, “these actions are a step in the right direction” & “people manifest in different ways”. This does not sound like an embodiment of peace. It sounds like this BLM representative supports violence, in direct violation of stated goals.
In goal number 2 and 12 Black Lives Matter uses the word “comrades.” While this isn’t generally a concern because it simply means a companion who shares one’s activities, online dictionary also defines it as a fellow socialist or communist. As we will show, six of their goals are also stated communist goals.
Black Lives Matter supports and presses for communism
In 1963 45 communist goals were read into congress. We reference these goals by number. They can be found here. (https://cultureshield.com/PDF/45_Goals.pdf)
- BLM Goal #9 supports communist goal #26.
Communist goal #26 states that communism seeks “homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy.”
BLM goal #9 states, “We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.”
*One who supports this BLM goal is also supporting communist goals.
- BLM Goal #10 supports communist goal #26
Communist goal #26 states that communism seeks “homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy.”
BLM goal #10 states, “We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender (relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender corresponds to their birth sex) privilege. BLM states quite explicitly they intend to dismantle the rights that come with identifying with your birth sex. This means that BLM fights to dismantle roughly 96% of Americans rights in order to progress the privilege of 3% of Americans who feel underprivileged due to their sexual preference (UCLA School of Law research). In California, for example, school text books are required to state that historical figures that are thought to have been gay and lesbian must now be taught that they are in fact gay/lesbian. Our concern is that students should not be studying the sexual behaviors of anyone outside themselves. Studying the sexual behaviors and perceived sexual behaviors of historical figures is not an education, it is indoctrination.
- BLM Goal #11 supports communist goal #40.
Communist goal #40 states, “discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.”
BLM goal #11 states, “We build a space that affirms black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.”
*While we believe that men and women should be treated equally and have equal access to property and rights, we do not think that women should have the advantage over men without earned qualifications and simply because they are woman. That is sexism.
- BLM Goal#13 supports communist goal #40
Communist goal #40 states, “discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.”
BLM goal #13 states, “We dismantle the patriarchal practice…”
*This goal to dismantle the traditional family is in line with communism. It will lead to a stronger welfare state and less property and pride in the american person.
- BLM Goal #14 supports communist goal #41.
Communist goal #41 states, “Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.”
BLM goal #14 states, “We disrupt the western-prescribed nuclear family structure…”
*As you can see, the goals directly coincide.
BLM goal #14 states, “supporting each other as extended families, and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children…”
*This is socialism Marxism ideology. The idea that it takes a village to raise a child originated from the Nigerian Igbo culture that also name their children “Nwa Ora” which means child of the community. It is becoming popular in nations around the world to claim that children do not belong to the parents but to the state. We see this in some European nations where the state trumps the parents in making medical and educational decisions for the child. It gives extreme power to the state and proportionately takes that power from the parents.
- BLM Goal #15 supports communist goal #26.
Communist goal #26 states that communism seeks “homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy.”
BLM goal#15 states, “We foster a queer-affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking…”
*This is not about black lives at all! Do supporters of BLM realize they are also supporting degeneracy and promoting it as normal and healthy? This is a brazen attack on America and clear support of communism.
We hope the reader can deduce from these points that Black Lives Matters is pushing communism. Supporting an effort to help equalize access to opportunity is commendable. But that is not the goal of BLM. BLM has a clear and defined communist movement.
Partners
It is important to realize that partners of an organization tell much about the goals of an organization. We want to share what the stated purpose of these partners are.
- Black & Pink: “The organization began as an explicitly anarchist project, so the black was chosen to represent the black flag of anarchism and the power of quiet politics and experience…We fight to abolish prisons”
- Black Men: works to “bring black men together to …work through…masculinity”
- Bakaberg: “specializes in project management, auditing businesses for diversity among workers.” They refer to Malcom X as a brother.
- Deeper than Water: calls for decarceration everywhere.
- BLM chicago chapter demands no cops in school, no juvenile incarceration and defund the police.
None of these goals are in line with American ideology. None of these goals stand for peace and prosperity. They call for a complete overthrow of American principles.
Where is the money going?
We should research where we are donating money before we hand over our hard-earned dollars. The last thing we want is to give money to an organization that doesn’t fit our beliefs or ideals. So we went looking to see how the Black Lives Matter movement spends the donations they get from citizens and big corporations. Here are some of the inconsistencies we found:
- We did a google search for BLM donations. There are several articles that show companies that are donating directly to BLM or behind the so-called movement by donating to similar causes. However, I wanted more in-depth knowledge. Candid.org is a non-profit website that collects tax returns of other non-profits. When I conducted a search for all 990s from 2018 using Black Lives Matter it comes back with 3 tax returns. Two of those are for BLM Chapters (Colorado and Vermont) and for Black Lives Matter Foundation. This is bothersome because on the BLM website in 2017 they state there are 45 active chapters (https://blacklivesmatter.com/resource-category/reports/ and in 2019 they state there are 38 “active communities” https://blacklivesmatter.com/six-years-strong/
- Another inconsistency we found is when you click on the donate button on the BLM website it takes you to where you are making a donation to ActBlue Charities, NOT directly to BLM. It states that “ActBlue Charities is a registered charitable organization formed to democratize charitable giving” and that ActBlue is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. In the fine print on the ActBlue website it states “Contributions or gifts to ActBlue are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.” So if donations aren’t tax deductible then what is it that makes them a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization?
- An article written by Stephen Loiaconi on June 15th 2020 for ABC6 News does say “The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation is fiscally sponsored by another nonprofit, Thousand Currents, which has provided “fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services” since 2016. Such a sponsorship relationship is not uncommon for groups that have not yet received IRS approval for tax-exempt 501(c) (3) status. Because of that relationship, Black Lives Matter does not file its own public financial disclosures, but Thousand Currents’ fiscal documents provide some insight into how the group’s funds are spent. A Thousand Currents audit for fiscal year 2019 shows it had released about $1.8 million to the group in the year ending in June 2019. According to information provided to FactCheck.org by Thousand Currents, about one-quarter of Black Lives Matter expenditures in fiscal year 2019 went to salaries, benefits, and payroll taxes and 46% went to “consultant fees,” but the audit provides no further details. A small fraction was spent on grants, and much of the rest was allocated to accounting, bank fees, information technology, insurance, legal fees, and office expenses.”
Put your money where your mouth is.
After reading all of the information about the actual vision of BLM let me tell you about some of the companies that are donating to contribute to Black Lives Matter and other organizations. They could be giving to the Black Lives Matter Global Foundation but it isn’t made clear. They did however use the hashtag BlackLivesMatter when they announced donations via Twitter
