Stephen R. Christiansen (Steve) received his B.A. from the University of Utah and his M.B.A. from Northwestern University. The following twenty years were spent with his growing family as he worked professionally in various locations in the U.S. and Latin America, including as Managing Director of Kimberly-Clark Corporation’s businesses in Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru.
Currently, Steve works in the Presiding Bishopric Office of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, leading a talented team of consultants engaged in a variety of global improvement projects.
Steve is married to Suzanne Pool Christiansen. Together they have been blessed with four amazing children and nine beautiful grandchildren.
Steve’s love of the United States of America and the U.S. Constitution began as a child in his home. His dad was a Major General in the U.S. Army Reserves and possessed a deep love for his country, while Steve’s mother was equally a patriot. Steve’s own passion for liberty, our country, and our remarkable form of government continued to grow as an intern to a former U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C., as a precinct officer, as a county and state delegate, and now as a member of the Utah House of Representatives. Steve recognizes the constitutional crisis in which we find ourselves and is fully committed to giving courageous leadership at this critical juncture in our nation’s history.
Restoring Liberty Presentation
In 2020, Steve Christiansen published Restoring Liberty: The Battle to Save Our Constitutional Republic as part of his re-election campaign. Volunteers distributed 12,500 copies of his book to every household in his legislative district. Steve now gives hour-long presentations, and free copies of his book, to groups of patriots throughout Utah. His Restoring Liberty presentation discusses the founding of our nation and our constitutional republican form of government. The purpose of our Constitution is described through analogy, followed by a review of essential constitutional principles upon which our country was founded. The importance of each principle is taught by quoting our Founding Fathers, then comparing the original intent of those principles to what we see in our nation today. Steve’s fundamental belief is that we are in the midst of a constitutional crisis, the likes of which our country has never seen, and that only through determined action on the part of committed patriots will our nation, Constitution, and individual liberties be preserved.
